Nolan visits VCH

Warning: this is a bit graphic/gross...at least there are no pictures....

Nolan came with me to work yesterday. No, we didn't exactly take care of any children or stay for a 12-hour shift. We went to work on the schedule. We don't have childcare of Tuesdays and Thursdays and we always do the schedule on Tuesdays so that meant I had a baby with me for a couple hours at work, no big deal, right? He could visit and meet some of my work friends, and play with his toys while I worked, really no big deal, so I thought....

I was as prepared as I could have been. I brought the baby Bjorn, the stroller, the diaper bag was stocked with toys, a bottle, a blanket and tons of diapers just in case, at the last minute I even thought to bring an umbrella because it was looking like rain. We get there and park and I get out to feed the meter then prepare to get Mr. Man out of his seat and into the carrier, this is when I hear it...gross, belly/bottom noises coming from Mr. Tinch...yuck-still no big deal, I will just change him in the car, before we walk in...oh my, it was everywhere!!! I picked him up and it came out his pant legs. Soooooo gross...all over the seat of the 4runner, his really cute, well-planned outfit, his legs, socks, everywhere!!! I went to work cleaning it up with the plethora of wipes I brought, had to change his clothes into an outfit that was not meant for meeting new people, nor walking through the rain but it would have to do for now! Finally, I get him clean enough to be presentable and off we go in the Bjorn, halfway there I discover there is poop on the back of the carrier!!! I folded it down immediately so it wasn't visible, then continued to make a b-line for the hospital. Once I get inside and on the elevator I realize there is poop on me!!! On the pant leg of my jeans...needless to say, the both of us were less than presentable once we got to the floor. I did help with the schedule and Nolan was very well behaved while we worked, but we didn't exactly go around meeting everyone like I had envisioned with poop on my jeans and the stinch still lingering over both of us.

Lesson learned: always pack a change of super, cute clothes for the parent and child in the diaper bag!

Uncle Al's Birthday

We helped Uncle Al (AKA-Austin, he wants to be called Uncle Al...not sure why) celebrate his 23rd birthday last Friday! We went to the Depot in Springfield for some yummy food and delish carrot cake! Again, Nolan was out past his bedtime and once again he was very well behaved!

Saturday we met up with some of our favorite people at The Pharmacy in East Nashville. The burgers were great and it was soooo nice outside! We will have to bring Nolan back when he is bigger they have a little playground right there in the beergarden!

Easter

We had a very busy Easter weekend, with lots of fun! I had to work on Easter so we celebrated with the brunch crew on Saturday night with a yummy Easter dinner. Then Eric took Nolan to Grandmomma's Easter egg hunt on Sunday and then Nana's for Easter supper. I gave Eric strict instructions on what Nolan should wear and to take tons of pictures....well Nolan did wear the right outfit but there were only a few pics...enjoy!

Peeps and GG

Peeps and GiGi came to visit Nolan in Tennessee the same weekend of Twav's birthday. Nolan got to hang out with them all day Saturday and for a few hours Sunday morning before they had to return to TX. It was great seeing them, we look forward to seeing them again soon in PA!

Uncle Twav's Birthday

I am attempting to catch up on the blog!!

Uncle Twav (otherwise known as Travis) turned 21 on March 30th. I can't believe he is already 21! He wanted to go bowling on his birthday so we went to a giant family game place that had bowling and lots of beer to help Twav celebrate in style! It was wayyyy past Nolan's bedtime, but as usual he was a trooper! Here are some pics from the bash!

not due to too many beers just my usual bad timing.
